Launched in 2015, aiming to create an African film studio rooted in the jungle of Cameroon, reflects Bekolo’s vision of becoming a self-sufficient creative hub, breaking away from post-colonial dependencies. The studio produced “Our Wishes,” a TV series that tells the colonial history of Cameroon during the arrival of the Germans. Zili represents a center for African cinematic creativity, empowering local narratives while fostering independence and innovation in film production.
